Who’s It For?
The 2026 GMC Sierra EV is for anyone who wants to get things done. With up to 760 HP and 785 lb.-ft. of torque, this machine is a true workhorse that’s down for whatever you throw at it, whether you need to haul furniture, hit the job site, or tackle the trails. And with an all-electric design underpinning all that performance, this pickup is also the perfect option for anyone who digs the truck form factor but is no longer enamored by internal combustion engines.
What’s New for 2026?
The new-for-2026 AT4 trim heavily invests in off-road capability, upgrading this pickup with 35-inch all-terrain tires and a CrabWalk feature that enables four-wheel diagonal maneuverability in close spaces, a feature previously exclusive to the Hummer. Also, new for 2026 is the Elevation trim, which offers a more affordable option to prospective buyers. The Elevation model comes with a new Standard Range battery, which is also available for the first time on the existing Denali trim.
Real World Performance
The 2026 GMC Sierra EV comes in three trims, each with varying performance: the Elevation, AT4, and Denali. Standard on all trims is GMC’s impressive 2-motor e4WD system. It delivers power to all wheels simultaneously, improving traction and allowing you to deftly adjust to changing driving conditions. Selectable drive modes further enhance your ability to adapt to any challenge, on and off the road.
Elevation and Denali come standard with a 2-motor e4WD variant offering an EPA-estimated 283 miles of electric range. The AT4 model sports a standard 2-motor e4WD setup with a GMC-estimated 390 miles of electric range. Need more range? GMC’s available Extended Range battery (Elevation and Denali) equips the 2026 Sierra EV with up to an EPA-estimated 410 miles of electric range. Also, an available Max Range battery boosts range up to a GMC-estimated 478 miles (AT4 and Denali).
All 2026 GMC Sierra EV pickup trucks feature a best-in-class standard horsepower rating of 605. But you can bump that to an available 760 horsepower and 785 lb.-ft. of torque (as estimated in max power mode).
